Following sustained growth over the last two-years, pallet rental specialist, IPP Logipal has expanded its UK operation with the opening of two new pallet depots in East Kilbride, Scotland and Royston in Hertfordshire.
The addition of these new facilities takes IPP Logipal’s network to eight locations. As part of the company’s ongoing strategic development, the sites form key platforms for IPP Logipal to enhance services and meet the increasing demand from customers in Scotland and the East of England.
Initially the facilities will collectively carry stock of up to 20,000 pallets with each having the capacity to handle a throughput of up to one million pallets per annum.
Working though a network that covers the whole of UK&I, IPP Logipal will distribute, sort and collect pallets used by manufacturers to supply products to retailers. All pallets will be subject to the company’s rigorous quality control checks and a full repair service will also be provided.
With a growing number of companies recognising IPP Logipal’s one-way trip system as a cost effective solution to their supply chain needs, this investment provides the opportunity to increase nationwide coverage.
Phil Storer (pictured above), managing director at IPP Logipal, says: “We are committed to improving services in the pallet market and are continuously looking at new ways to meet the requirement of new and existing customers.
“Expanding our UK operation ensures we can continue providing a cost effective solution for manufacturers who appreciate a simple, hassle free, high-quality pallet service.”
IPP Logipal has customers operating across many industry sectors including bakery, chilled food and drink, fresh produce, alcoholic beverages, and health and beauty.
